| We live in the small community of Chiswick, which is about 30 min. south of North Bay, and 3 &1/2 hours north of Toronto Ont. The business is run entirely from our home with Anna-Marie doing the folk art painting, and me doing the woodworking. Whenever possible, our products are made from the process detailed below. |

our Products are Created

Once
the trees have been cut, they are taken to a skidway...
|
  |
Ready
for milling to specific sizes. The Lumber is then stickered and stacked
to dry for up to 2&1/2 years.

Sometimes,
further drying is required in the shop before the boards can be cut
to rough length, then run across the jointer to straighten them.
|

Once
the boards are straight they can be laminated into the required size,
then planed to the desired thickness.

Finally,
after much sanding, assembly can begin, and eventually, with a few finishing
touches, you get products like...

I use Minwax stains as I have found that they produce the best results on all wood. Please remember that all stains tend to penetrate deeper on softer materials such as Pine.
